Geeky girl Harriet Manners never had to compete for a job, having been found at a youthful age, by modeling agent Nick, who is her romantic interest. Now though, her father has been given a job in America, and in New York no less, which means Harriet will have to actually compete against other models for the top jobs. She isn't sure she can do it, but she also isn't scared.
