The crane wife

a novel

George Duncan, an American man who owns a small print shop in London, is startled one evening when a great white crane lands in his backyard garden with an arrow through its wing. He removes it, and the crane flies off. George, a lonely man, is shaken by the event, until the next day when a startlingly gorgeous woman named Kumiko walks into his store wanting help with her artwork--and she is holding delicate feathers.
