Touching Spirit Bear

After beating a classmate into a coma, a fifteen-year-old boy from an abusive home is banished to a remote Alaskan island as part of a Native American sentencing alternative, where he is mauled by a legendary white bear and, while struggling to survive, begins to find humility and take responsibility for his actions.
