Verity Price's family has studied cryptids, or monsters, for generations and kept them and humanity safe from each other, but Verity wants more. When she moves to Manhattan to study dance, however, she finds she cannot just walk away from her heritage when Dominic De Luca, a monster-hunting operative of the Covenant of St. George, turns up in New York City, and disappearing cryptids, lizard-men in the sewers, and a rumored dragon force Verity to remember that she is a Price.
