Gracie and the emperor

Gracie, a poor eleven-year-old girl whose life begins to mysteriously change when Napoleon Bonaparte is exiled to her island, is shocked to learn that the fallen emperor--the monster in the frightening stories she has heard all her life--is her benefactor.
