[Kashtanka and other short stories]

A collection of ten short stories by Anton Chekhov, including the title work in which Kashtanka, a dog owned by a drunken carpenter, becomes lost in a military parade and is taken in by the owner of a traveling animal show, leading to a wonderful interlude for the dog until its owner attends a show and takes her home.
