Strong poison

Mystery writer Harriet Vane, on trial for the murder of her lover, attracts the attention of gentleman detective Lord Peter Wimsey, who finds himself oddly attracted to this very intelligent but not so beautiful writer, but before he can expect to win any return to his feelings he must prove her innocence.
