Backstretch girls

Teagan Sullivan may come from a family of Olympic equestrians, but after becoming a golden disappointment herself, she goes to pony Thoroughbreds at a no-name racetrack. There, she struggles with her feelings for the blacksmith Screaming Wolf, and also finds herself rooming with a would-be jockey named Anne Simmons. Anne, a scrawny eighteen-year-old, dreams of racing in a Derby, but those dreams seem sidelined for good when she suffers a near-fatal accident. Both Anne and Teagan see a chance for redemption at the upcoming Breeder's Cup Classic.
