Spensa realized her dream of becoming a pilot like her father and escaping what's left of her home planet, but also learned some alarming truths, including the fact that her father was a traitor and a coward who turned on his crew. Understanding what happened to her father is only part of her quest as she takes on the enemy Krell in order to save humanity.
