Detective Harry Bosch of Los Angeles police department is sure that he killed the sadistic serial murderer known as the Dollmaker. A corpse of a woman is found, and all indications are that this is another of Dollmaker's victims, but reports show that this woman was killed after Harry shot the man he believed to be the serial killer.
