Seventeen-year-old soccer star Christian Powell enlists the help of his best friend and ex-girlfriend Sam Dickson to help him reach out to smart, intellectual Rosalyn Shew whom he's developed a crush on. Sam agrees and begins texting Rosalyn on behalf of Christian and coaching him from the sidelines, but when her interactions with Rosalyn lead to attraction, Sam begins to question her ruse.
