The saga of Rex

A series of stories follows the adventures of a fox named Rex, who is chosen by an extraterrestrial probe and taken to the planet Edernia, where he is paired with a Blossom, a creature that shape-shifts to mimic his shape. The pair is then judged, along with similar pairs of other species, to decide their worthiness for entrance into the Coalescence Dome, where they become mates.
