When Stu hears a voice calling him late at night, he follows it to the haunted house down the road, and sees the ghost of a boy who was murdered fifty years before, he feels compelled to find out why the ghost is reaching out to him--even if it means risking his own life.
Stu and his friend Dan are hiking in the forest when a rainstorm leads them to seek shelter in a haunted hunting cabin, which suddenly bursts into flames in the middle of the night. The boys escape with their lives, but when Stu returns in the day he finds the cabin apparently untouched by fire, but in the possession of a ghost that clearly does not want company.
When Stu gets lost in the woods just as night closes in, he knows he should just sit still and wait for morning because there is a flooded quarry nearby--but when he hears a boy calling for help he follows the sound, ignoring the dog that is trying to steer him in the opposite direction.
