Daemon

In this sequel to "Daemon," Daemon is close to controlling the world and civil war erupts in the American Midwest. Pete Sebeck, Daemon operative, leads a group of people in a populist attempt to protect the new world order. NSA agent Natalie Philips, hacker Jon Ross, and darknet master Loki are caught up in democracy's last stand.

When the obituary of computer game designer Matthew Sobol is posted online, it activates a previously dormant autonomous computer program known as a "daemon." As the daemon unleashes its capabilities and begins to destroy the interconnected order of the modern technological world, a special task force is created to locate and destroy this faceless threat before it creates an entirely new world order.
