Mandy is thrilled when her dad wins first prize in the Christmas raffle. He's going to own a race-horse for a day! Bright Spark is the most beautiful thouroughbred that Mandy and James have ever seen. But he is famous for hating the rain, and the forecast for race day is looking gloomy. Will he overcome his fears and win.

Mandy and James are sad that their friend Wilfred Bennett has to sell his riding stables. Soon Sam Western turns the land into a campsite and wants everyone to forget that the stables ever existed. Now campers are telling stories of a ghostly horse and rider passing through the campsite-and vanishing into the night air! Mandy and James don't believe the spooky tales, but can they figure out what's really going on?.

The Hopes are in the small town of Churchill to watch polar bears migrating north. It's a spectacular sight. But when one of the cubs strays from his mother, Mandy fears for his safety. Can she help reunite the cub with his family before winter sets in?.
