Karen loves unicorns and believes that the can grant wishes. When a circus advertises a real live unicorn, Karen is excited because she thinks her dreams will come true, even if no one else in Ms. Colman's class believes it is true.
Karen has been using the phone too much and has been forgetting to take messages, so her parents restrict her phone use. When Karen decides to sneak calls anyway, she ends up in a huge mess.
Karen is very excited when her grandmother gives her an Easter basket with a real, live bunny in it. Mommy and Seth are not very happy though, the bunnies are chewing on everything. Karen must figure out a way to save the bunnies and make her parents happy.
Karen can't wait for a snow day so she and her two friends can play. But when the big day comes she and Hannie and Nancy all have to help Karen's brothers shovel snow all day long.
When Stoneybrook has a winter carnival and tree-lighting ceremony, Karen wants to be chosen as the Snow Princess and be able to light the town square, but she can't do both, so she must choose which one is more important to her.
