Baby-sitters little sister

Karen got an early Christmas gift from her grandparents--new ice skates. Even though the ice on the pond is not ready for skating, Karen and her friends go and investigate.

Karen starts her own school and teaches her little brother Andrew and his friends how to read and write. When the students go on strike because she is too bossy, Karen wonders how she will run her school.

When Karen's best baby doll is in an accident, Karen is crushed. But her dad knows a man who can fix the doll. Now Karen has a new idea--she is going to start a doll hospital.

Addie, who has cerebral palsy, is the new student in Karen's class. Karen decides to make Addie her best friend, and she won't leave her alone.

Karen finds a duck outside the classroom at school sitting on a nest of eggs. She can't wait for the ducklings to be born.

Karen's class has lots of fun decorating a haunted house for Halloween. When she and her friends start hearing spooky noises, they decide to find out who or what is haunting their haunted house.

Karen's class trip to the zoo is threatened when the flu hits. But she does not want the animals to get sick too.

Karen's father has given her the big responsibility of taking care of the pumpkin patch in the garden. Not only must she water and fertilize the pumpkins, but she must find homes for all of them so they won't be smashed on Mischief Night.

Karen finds a stray cat that is about to have kittens. When they are born, she sends out birth announcements and is determined to find perfect homes for each one.

Things do not go as Karen plans when she sets up a joke to beat all jokes on her family for April Fools' Day.
