A memoir of television journalist Anderson Cooper whose attraction to dangerous foreign assignments was in part to avoid the issues of having a famous mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, and losing his father and older brother at a young age. Focuses on his recent coverage of the tsunami, Iraq, and Hurricane Katrina, which caused him to reconsider how his family's past as well as the stories he has covered have affected him.
