My friend Leonard

Presents the continuing autobiography of James Frey in which he tells about his friendship with Leonard, a man he met while in rehabilitation for alcohol and drug abuse, and discusses how Leonard, a genial mobster, took on the role of father, comforting him after the suicide of his girlfriend, and providing him with jobs, encouragement, money, and advice on how to live boldly.
