Gregor the Overlander

Eleven-year-old Gregor and his two-year-old sister are pulled into a strange underground world populated by humans, giant spiders, bats, cockroaches, and rats, but his anxiety to find his way home is quelled when he finds a prophecy that foretells of his role in the Underland's future.
