When seventeen-year-old Francis "Frankie" Devereux's boyfriend is murdered right in front of her, her mind blocks out the memory of the murderer and she spirals out of control. She is forced to move in with her father, an undercover cop, and attend a tough school where street racing is a popular pastime. There she falls for racer Marco Leone, and discovers a secret about him that brings back painful memories and has consequences for them both.
