Home after dark

A graphic novel set in the 1950s that features the coming-of-age story of thirteen-year-old Russell Pruitt whose mother runs off with another man so his father moves them to a small, run-down town in California. There Russell experiences bullying, peer pressure, and sexual curiosity. When his father abandons him, a Chinese couple take him in and try to help Russell as he enters into manhood.
