We are the fire

In the land of Vesimaa, teens Oksana and Pran were stolen from their families by the emperor, forced to undergo a transformative procedure, and pressed into military service as magical fire-wielding soldiers. When they learn the emperor has horrifying new plans for their kind, they vow to tear down the empire and start a new life together. However, their radically different methods and ideals strain their relationship, jeopardize the mission, and threaten to make them just like the monsters who rule over them.
