The brides of Maracoor

Elphaba's granddaughter Rain awakens on an island far from Oz where she meets seven women, the brides of Maracoor Spot. The women spend their lives in seclusion on the island, performing rituals to ensure the safety of the mainland of Maracoor. But the brides disagree about what to do with Rain, and things get even more complicated when the island's civil-servant overseer arrives for the yearly visit to ensure there are exactly seven women on the island, no more, no less. When a foreign army threatens the mainland, it soon becomes clear that Rain's arrival could be to blame.
