The good thief

Young Ren, a twelve-year-old orphan in nineteenth-century New England, is adopted by Benjamin Nab, a con artist who brings Ren into a strange underworld filled with seedy characters, including an assassin that the pair encounters on a mission to procure corpses for a scientist, who informs Ren that he was made for killing.
