Mirror lake

Nathan Carter, at loose ends after the death of his father and the failure of another romance, moves from Boston to Eden, Vermont, where he is befriended by cranky seventy-nine-year-old Wallace Fiske who tells him a story that helps Carter put his own life back in order.
