Love in the time of global warming

After the Earth Shaker, a massive quake that left her home city of Los Angeles destroyed in all but name, Pen sets out into a wasted, post-apocalyptic Earth, guided by only a batted copy of Homer's "Odyssey." Genetically mutated and cloned giants, a madman, and the wasted world itself stand in the way of survival, but with friends she makes along the way, Pen determines to outlast the apocalypse.
