Beautiful young attorney Anne Murphy, shocked to find her picture and a report of her death on the front page of the newspaper, realizes that Willa, the new friend who was caring for Anne's cat while she vacationed at the shore, was murdered in her place, most likely by a stalker who had tried to kill Anne once before.
