Sixteen-year-old Larry, a Dogrib Indian living in northern Canada, must deal with past losses and abuses, as well as the typical teenage issues of lust and love, while struggling toward adulthood, but he gets help along the way from Johnny Beck, a Metis newcomer from the city.
