When Francisco, gifted student and basketball player from Spanish Harlem, receives a scholarship to a distinguished boarding school, his fellow students view him as an outsider and assume the worst about him. In addition, his former friends no longer accept him as one of them, leaving Francisco in a difficult position and unsure how to proceed.
