Chadwick, a former middle school teacher, gives up his job after the drug-related death of his daughter to dedicate himself to rescuing troubled teens, but he is forced to confront the ghosts of his past when he becomes involved in the life of Mallory, a fifteen-year-old wanted for questioning in a brutal murder--who just happens to be the child his daughter was babysitting the night she died.
