We are not like them

Jen and Riley have been friends forever even though their adult lives have gone in opposite directions. Jen married young and is finally pregnant after years of trying, and Riley is on the brink of becoming one of the first Black female anchors of the top news channel in their hometown of Philadelphia. But the two's friendship is put to the test after Jen's husband, a police officer, is involved with the shooting an unarmed Black teenager. Riley realizes this story could make her career but struggles with the trauma of another Black member of her community harmed by police and her complicated relationship with Jen.
