Lex Luthor poisons criminal John Corbin and turns him into a kryptonite-powered robot named Metallo, who seeks revenge, after discovering he is more machine than man, by taking out his anger on Metropolis.

A bolt of lightning hits disc jockey Leslie Williams during a rock concert, giving her the power to control electricity, which she uses to threaten the citizens of Metropolis, and only Superman can try to stop her.

Evil Mala distracts Superman long enough for her partner, Jax-Ur, to disguise himself as Superman and terrorize humanity. Now Superman must find a way to win back humanity's trust and defeat the evil pair.

Superman races to rescue astronauts stranded on Pluto and under attack by Kanjar Ro.

Before the distant planet Krypton explodes, scientist Jor-El and his wife Lara send their only son into outer space. Later a Kansas farmer and his wife discover the young boy in their cornfield. They adopt the boy and learn the boy has strange powers.

Abra Kadabra returns to Earth with plans to use his mind-control machine to brainwash the planet and take over as ruler, and when he captures Superman to utilize the him as the power source for his weapon, the Man of Steel must find a way to escape and shut down the machine.

Evil aliens Kalibak and Desaad hire Lobo, an intergalactic bounty hunter, to capture Superman, and when Lobo catches the Man of Steel, the aliens trap them both beneath a force field, which the two must try to escape from--if they can set their differences aside.

When the Prankster gets out of prison and promises to change his life around by starting a new television show featuring teens who perform practical jokes, it quickly becomes apparent to Superman that the pranks are actually previews for crimes, and he sends Jimmy Olsen to look into the matter.

Superman joins a group of intergalactic peacekeepers when they chase the evil Terra-Man to Earth, and when the Man of Steel locates the criminal gunslinger in an Old West ghost town, the two have a showdown.

Brainiac, who shrank the city of Kandor and sealed it inside an unbreakable glass container decades ago, explores space for more cities, such as Metropolis, which only Superman can protect.
