North of nowhere

After her grandfather suddenly and inexplicably vanishes, Mia and her mother to go help out her grandmother. She finds a new pen pal in the form of Dee, a local girl, but when Dee seems unusually distant, she attempts to figure out who she really is while simultaneously trying to figure out where her grandfather has gone.
