Presents personal narratives of the civil rights movement collected by journalists, photographers, and videographers on a seventy-day bus trip around the U.S.; examines the spy operations of the Mississippi Sovereignty Commission during the movement and the 1965 beating of civil rights marchers by Alabama state troopers on a bridge in Selma; and tells the life stories of Martin Luther King, Jr., and Thurgood Marshall.
