Singin' and swingin' and gettin' merry like Christmas

Presents the third part of an autobiography by African-American poet Maya Angelou. She describes her difficult years of supporting her son with odd jobs while struggling with a failed marriage to a white man. But when she moves to New York and becomes a member of the cast of "Porgy and Bess," life changes for her. Yet she experiences a deeply felt guilt in her distant relationship with her son.
