Daniel and Beatrice Cook, along with an adolescent dragon named Erasmus, embark on a journey to rescue their dragon chick, Torcher, from a secret society of dragon-killers known as the Dragonsbane Knights, and their search uncovers a traitor within the Secret and Ancient Society of Dragonologists.
