Surviving the city

After her grandmother passes away Dez has nowhere to go but a group home, which has made navigating her new relationship and her belief that she is somehow a "Two-Spirit person" difficult. Miikwan tries to understand her friend's problems, but doesn't know how, and she also has a new crush on Riel to distract her. The Elder Geraldine tries to support the two teens, but she does not understand their new ideas about sex and gender.
