In order to qualify for the "Shaman Fight in Tokyo, " Yoh must defeat Silva and the five animal spirits he controls. If he does not, he will not get another shot at the tournament for 500 years.

Dr. Munzer is at odds with Anna over what to do with the Golem, who has run out of energy; and meanwhile Little Opacho announces that if Yoh does not return to the Shaman Fight, Hao will destroy the Golem and the children.

Hao attempts to consume the Golem, with Salerm still inside, to obtain its mana, and Yoh tries to save her by fighting the Golem and the ghost of Ludsev's father while hoping for assistance from friends such as Joco.

Yoh Asakura, a shaman who can channel spirits, seems to have squandered his chance to become Shaman King as Ren liesunconscious, with only Lady Jeanne to save him, if she holds up her end of the bargain.

Shaman Yoh Asakura withdraws from the Shaman Fight, and the story of his past with Anna is revisited to examine how their relationship, and possibly a terrible secret, have shaped Yoh's fate.

The competition is paramount for Yoh Asakura when he enters a tournament held once every five hundred years, and knowing that first prize would allow him the title of Shaman King, Yoh faces the best shamans from around the world.

Victory in the Shaman Fight is practically guaranteed for Hao, but he is confused when Yoh and his friends beat him.

Yoh's journey to the caves of Izumo has boosted his mana and his confidence; and in the final battle of the Shaman Fight preliminaries, Yoh is up against Tao Ren and his over soul, Bason.

The gathering has begun for the Shaman fight in Tokyo to determine who will become the Shaman King. When Yoh wakes in the hospital, he is introduced to his fianc?e by an arranged marriage. She's a shaman too and it will take both their skills to survive Ren's family grudge.

Hao's victory in the Shaman Fight seems certain, and Mikihisa offers to teach Ren the Ultra Senji Ryakketsu in order to defeat him.
